The new memoir
A story about what happens after the applause.
Corey Miller lived the dream. Behind the success was pain, pride and brokenness. This is the story of how God met him at rock bottom and redirected his life toward the Gospel.
Published August 14, 2026 by SJ Writing Services, LLC, FROM THE GRIDIRON to the GOSPEL follows Corey’s journey from Pageland, South Carolina, through Gamecock football and the NFL, into a personal crisis—and ultimately into ministry, mentorship and a life centered on Jesus Christ.
“Your past does not define your future. God can redeem every part of your story for His glory.”
Meet Corey Miller
Invite Corey to Speak
Football gave him a platform. Christ gave it purpose.
Corey Miller is a former NFL linebacker, University of South Carolina Athletics Hall of Famer, 2024 SEC Football Legend, ordained minister, author and speaker. After reaching the highest levels of football, Corey experienced a personal collapse that forced him to confront who he was beyond the game. His Christian faith became the foundation for a new calling: reaching men, mentoring young people, strengthening families and pointing people to Jesus Christ.
At South Carolina, Miller earned All-South Independent honors in 1989 and 1990, was named the Gamecocks’ Outstanding Defensive Player in 1989 and served as team captain in 1990. He was selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 1991 NFL Draft and later played for Minnesota. His ministry work has included prison outreach, student-athlete mentoring, chapel service and community engagement.
